Recently we engaged the professional services of Colin Wilson from Key Business Advisors on Customer Service training for all of our staff. Then our management were trained on "How to Manage and Motivate Staff through a HR Process". We received excellent feedback from the staff and management from the training conducted over a few days and yes immediately we have noticed a vast improvement of staff commitment to focus on cross selling and up selling out in the field and their overall performance to customer service / satisfaction. Dear Stephen,
I would like to thank KBA and you personally for the excellent outcome from implementation of the KBA Fair Work Australia package at Nautical Marine.
Had it not been for your insistence with “getting everything right” we would be exposed to prosecution for operating under the wrong award, like I suspect many other boat dealers are.
The BIA were unable to help us and we were having difficulty getting info from VECCI or the Fair Work office. It seems the boating industry has never been quite sure of where it is positioned, other than that most dealers had tagged onto out of date Vehicle Industry Awards.
Thank you for your assistance with identifying the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award as the award for the boating industry in Australia.
In response to your recent follow up, we are progressively implementing the employment contracts and re-inducting our staff to comply with the new act. Again thank you for your assistance with scripting the position descriptions, orientation checklists and other material that now make us compliant with the new legislation.
Auditing our rates of pay and staff classifications was also of great assistance to us and our staff are also happy with the outcome.
Your system allows us to manage staff information quickly and easily and gives us the ability to properly manage performance reviews and effectively handle workplace issues like dismissals, bullying, harassment and discrimination, should they occur.

We were first introduced to KBA through the Northwest Lawyers group.
When we purchased the program in January 2010, we were enthusiastic to use it due to the ability that the program had. However, due to the time involved to start off the program other issues were given priority and this fell by the way side.
In June this year we received a courtesy call from Stephen Keens who was relatively new to KBA. Since that telephone call he has ensured that we are using the system in all aspects of HR. This in turn has resulted in us having peace of mind in knowing that not only are we compliant with Fair Work Australia but we have also introduced new procedures which have improved our HR.
Stephen has spent the necessary time to ensure we understand the program and its abilities.
Stephen is willing to assist with any HR problem that arises and in the event that he does not know the answer to a query, he will go away and not only find the answer but will find the best solution. Further to our recent companies acquisition of your HR Staff System Software, I would like to express our gratitude firstly for the way your organisation conducted the implementation of the product and secondly for the product itself.
From the first time we viewed this product at the Konica Minolta training in Brisbane, both attending Directors agreed this would be a valuable tool for our business. On the day we placed an order and on returning to Mackay proceeded to get information in place to assist with the installation.
Once the software had been installed and remotely set up which was very professional and easy to follow with your great trainers, it was time for us to implement our data to the system. Business Solutions is a relatively small organisation of some 8 staff however this software allows our company to be at the pinnacle of all HR and employee issues at any time.
Recently two of our service members attended training and forms were processed from the system to assist with their expenses to which the guidelines were followed to the tee and admin and HR were very pleased with the results. Also one of our staff members had a three monthly review to which the system advised us of and we processed the review both verbally and with the written documentation provided by the HR Software.
The software is easy to follow and very user friendly and allows us to now process all staff entitlements, conditions and training in a more professional manner.
Software of this kind and setup and training is always perceived as time consuming and very expensive, however in this case we again have be overwhelmed by the facilities and ease of use along with the great price of the product.

As a financial adviser with almost 20 years experience and running a small business, one of the things that I clearly understand is the importance of a consistent cost effective approach to sales, due diligence and also in particular, to compliance areas.
When introduced by you to the HR Software Package I felt this filled a most important need inside our business whereby we could also take a similar approach to our HR management that we do to our client relationships.
The HR Staff Survey was invaluable in regard to recognising that our staff is equally as important as our clients as they become just as difficult to replace and recruit and therefor we do want to be recognised by our staff as an employer of choice. As we have discussed I believe it is just as important to "sell" our staff on the benefits of working for our organisation as it is for us to sell our clients on dealing with our organisation.
The HR software fits in readily with our overall business planning process which includes XPlan client relationship management and Statement of Advice software, Olicc work in progress and commission tracking software, Quickbooks accounting and payroll software and Microsoft Outlook software that we currently utilise in a windows based environment within our office. This provides a consistent broadly recognised software driven management approach irrespective of who manages the business now or in the future.
I am also most appreciative of the work we have conducted together on a contract basis assisting with our advisory team in the area of sales development and also with our core relationships with centres of influence to assist with programmes of measuring and monitoring sales results that are achieved from campaigns we are working through.

Essendon Nissan Mitsubishi & Kia is a Car Dealer in the Car Strip of Essendon in Keilor Rd. We employ about 60 people in the Sales, Servicing and Parts departments.

I originally met Colin at a Konica Minolta kick off meeting approximately four years ago. I was very impressed by his HR system software and purchased this software.
Colin had been in constant contact with us through the whole installation period to ensure that we had not only installed the program but had implemented it in our business and making full use of its features. This has greatly assisted our business in its HR management.
To note some points which Key Business Advisors helped us with:
